Got an email off them asking me to sign up for UTV Talk Anytime for €9.99 a month which gets up Ireland and UK landline calls.
Did you know you can now get FREE ANYTIME calls to any UK and Irish landline?
UTV Talk Anytime is now available and if you pay only €9.99 per month, you can phone for FREE any time, day or night.

    Is this a true bargain?

Not bad.I was with them and changed to BT for the €45 pack, which includes anytime local national and UK, line rental and braodband. It all depends on how much you would normally spend on your phone bill to warrant it

They're hardly "free calls" if you have to pay €9.99 p/m. :p

And it excludes mobiles. My average call spend is about 12 euro a month and most of that is mobiles so I wouldn't save a penny.

Their standard offer of free off-peak local and national calls (Ireland and UK) is the best value I've seen. There's no extra charge just the €24.18 line rental.

BT do a similar product for the same money

I'd like to hear about it do you have a link to the details?

The UTV offer is reduced to 6.99 if you have a UTV broadband connection. I have had no difficulty in trying to contact the technical support when I have needed it, unlike others such as EsatBT where you would require help from Mystic Meg

Just read offer excludes ISDN lines. :( but they seem to allow the regular UTV talk over ISDN no problem.

I clicked this link and all I can see are packages starting at €39 per month for all Ireland & UK local and national calls at anytime.

From the BT page you linked to:
"All your local & national (for up to an hour each call, anywhere in Ireland - 32 counties) & UK landline calls for just €39 per month including line rental, no matter how often you call."

I originally posted about UTV's free off-peak local and national calls (Ireland and UK) for just the €24.18 line rental, with no extra charge, as being the best value I've seen. You said in your reply: "BT do a similar product for the same money" If they do I can't find it from your link or anywhere else on their web site.
