Talking to Mick last night and he told me that he's just been signed up by CelebPoker...... Bryan McFadden recognised the talents of the man and snapped him up before andone else could get their hands on him.

He's gettin his €5k entry to Copenhagen and he mentioned anotherplace where he's getting paid into to...

Shame on you all for doubting his poker ability..

You lump it in for 100 with AA on a 7 high rainbow board and after everyone folds Mick declares "Oi'll call ya". You table the AA and Mick declares "you're ahead". turn is a blank and MIck declares "you're still ahead". river is a 3 and Mick declares " you're not ahead anymore" and tables 73. Not funny how often this occurs.

He's actually a nice bloke but i find him very annoying to play with and would not rate him at all as a poker player (not that im much of a player either mind).

What does Mick actually do for a living? Seems like a geniunely nice guy, dumb as a box of rocks now and can't play poker, but I have always enjoyed listening to his analysis of hands, better than any standup routine.

Yes but everyone in this thread is so jealous and begrudging (Gholi, Eoin, Nic, Hotspur, Lloyd etc) and seems to think Mick doesn't deserve a bit of success. Do you feel you should have got sponsorship deals instead? Why do you think you deserve them any more than Mick? Apart from that you think you are better players -- sure everyone thinks they have the prettiest wife at home.

I dont think Im better than him Dave, I know I am better than him lol. I suppose I am begrudging him I just was very surprised by this, I hope he wins the tourney. I wish I deserved a sponsorship deal, but they dont sponsor players who blow up at the bubble unfortunately.

As for the wife thing, well I think whoever marries Kirsten Dunst will have the prettiest wife at home, but thats all horses for courses

I wouldn't say I'm jealous and begrudging, surprised yes. good luck to the chap as i said played with him a few times, very amicable fellow but didn't rate him as a poker player at all so surprised to see him get a sponsorship deal.
