Why is that? There have been a few different African Big Brothers (including the Pan-African one that Cameron from BB4 went into). What's so shocking about a country making a TV program? Lots of African countries have high rates of HIV infection..but what difference does that make? Should they stop producing TV?

Thats right, I taught this was a joke, but apparently not. In a country so striken by AIDs this just seems wrong.

Lol. That is such a typical opinion.

"They've got an HIV problem, how can they spend money on TV"
"There's people starving in the world, how can we waste money on educating them"
    etc.

you are ignorant indeed. Nigeria has a huge film and tv industry well known in africa. It is a wealthy country rich in natural resources especially oil. The reason why it dosen't seem rich is because the government are greedy and corrupt and don't look after the people with their billions of dollars. And aids is not a major problem in nigeria with one of the lowest rates in africa the population is 150 million with 320000 infectd
