Northern Rock or Rabo - Advice Please

Hello, all. I currently have money sitting in my credit union account earning eff all interest so i have decided to open a savings account with a higher rate of interest. I have narrowed my choice down to either Northern Rock or RaboDirect. I was wondering what people's experiences are with these online banks. I have a regular saver account so i need the facility to take money out to my current account possibly on a monthly basis to cover any short fall in putting cash in.

Northern Rock is definatly the one with the better rate so if is that what you are looking for then that is what you need. However BOI has a rate of 3% (Smartsave). Ok not as good as Northern Rock but there are extra benefits depending on the type of smartsave e.g smartsave mortgage has preferrential rates for mortgages and so on. Thanks, just the rate I'm chasing at this stage of my life tbh. Hopwever I will check out BOI site for details.
