i've started playing micro limit PLO last week and i have noticed there is an extraordinary number of terrible players. unfortunitly i am probably one of these players. and although i dont make ridicules call,i still lose money to people who outdraw me in 'all in' situations.

so what i was wondering is if someone, fuzzbox and ianmc in particular would draft a basic strategy for beating this game.

also could someone give a list of the useful starting hands- i mainly play running cards and high cards but i would like to know which hands to raise with preflop.

    all info is useful thanks.

Lol. Dont ask me unless you want some serious -EV advice. Roundtowers your man. And the Fuzz as well.

A basic strategy for beating low stake Pot Limit Omaha is bet big hands really hard on every street. people will regularly pay you off. Also get out of the habit of calling with the nut flush on paired boards. Dont get too attached to bottom set. Play more hands in position etc etc etc

Daithio gave some good advice a few weeks ago. Maybe he can post the link for you again...

Also read the 2+2 forum on PLO. There are some excellent posters over there.

Some other advice is to challenge Gholimoli headsup for bankrolls as he's an absolute donk at the game.

thanks for the modesty ian, i see if i can find that link.

as for goli - he'd probably at least break even.

Only play hands where you have the nuts or have a draw to the nuts.
This will win you hella $$ at low limits.
That's all you need to know until you decide to move up limits.

The advice 'only draw to the nuts in omaha' was given here many moons ago and its excellent advice. It will save/make you fortunes in the long run.

As for starting hands don't get carried away with big pairs which aren't connected in your hand. ie. KK37 or QQ26 especially if single suited. And lots of holdem players adjusting to omaha go broke with AAxx when they dont hit the flop.

watch your flopped nuts (mainly straights), you are vunerable if you don't have redraws.
