    Hello all
Im trying to mainstream my asd son, its proving difficult as the first question im being asked is how disruptive is he? how much help does he need, not exactly what I had hoped for wheres the inclusiveness in that?
Has anyone had any similar problems and how did you deal with it?
Im now considering homeschooling as an alternative to our so called mainstream system.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Jeep - I can't offer any specific advice, but you might like to read Senator Joe O'Toole's guide to the EPSEN act - see http://www.into.ie/ROI/WhatsNew/Issues/SpecialEducation/

    Hope this helps.

Fraid I dont know much regarding integration in primary school.
For secondary school however, I can highly recommend BCS (Balinteer Community School), I went there, and although I lived the other side of the city, they provided transport and they have more on-site support services than any other school. Including two teachers specifically trained in what you need IIRC.
The person to speak to there is Deirdre Walshe. She might even know of a primary school she could recommend.
