moving to mac-getting a mac mini

looking at this
is it a good deal it includes a lot of extras etc looks like the right thing to use to get into mac and of course it uncludes a monitor which would set me back a good deal


what ye all think?

Dont be at yourself

Bear in mind it is a PowerPC mac, and so wont run Windows. Nor, as far as I know, will it come with FrontRow or the Apple Remote, two key features of the current minis.

I reckon, if you can afford a few hundred more, an intel mini offers much, much better value.

Bear in mind the mini's now come with Core Duo's now, not Core Solo's at the low-end. Which is nicer

yeah ive decided on a brand new one 1.66GHz model 1GB ram upgrade and ill use my current DELL CRT and compaq keyboard and logitech optical mouse

Ya but your stuff is USB right? Cos the mini has no PS/2 (round) ports like...
