    Hi,

I spent a couple hours of hours trying to find an Irish website sells books on-line.

I think I can save some people time and money by telling them http://www.readsbooks.ie/ is cheapest that I can find.

Wow ... so cheap compared to easons or any other I popped up on google search for .ie book store.

Shipping a third of the cost of easons and prices range from 10% - 50% cheaper.

I just bought two books which cost 18.93 including delivery. I checked on easons.ie and the same order cost over 48 ...

The funny thing is .. easons owes Reads.

Hope this will save someone time/money

Cheers. They ARE much cheaper, even when you factor in postage.

Hmm, some of those prices aer not bad at all.

Other worthy book stores would be play.com and bookdepository.co.uk both of which offer free postage. But Reads delivery prices aren't too bad at €1.95 for first item and 95c thereafter

Yup, irony of ironies, Easons does indeed own Reads - they bought them about 18 months ago.

    Thanks for the link.

    What is delivery like?

I am fed up of waiting 3 weeks on delivery from Amazon for books.
I ordered a book in my local Eason store but it has not come in yet.

That was also 3 weeks ago.

Long time to wait on a good read.

I've bought from the bookdepository quite a number of times, very cheap. And if they don't have what you want or if you'd like to save more by getting a used copy, then Amazon Marketplace is great.

    Hi guys,

Some feedback on reads books online.

Well, I ordered two books on the Nov 16 ...

Two weeks later, I received an email says one book was out of stock ( no mention of ordering it for me ) and the other was in the post. They also apologised for delay.

Two days later one book arrived.

Not great service really but cheaper books.

Seems if you are not looking best sellers .. Reads may not be your best bet.

Anyway ... thought I'd fill you all in,

I have found that Amazon is cheaper than both Reads and Easons - if you are buying a few books - 3 or more. The Book Depository looks good though...
