Hit & Run on saturday night

Hey guys, a friend of mine was in a hit & run on saturday & unfortunately had his R6 mangled (forks, frame, gearbox cover & fairing)

It happened @ 8.30 on saturday night, on the cheeverstown road, beside the chippervan off the N81
The car that hit him was a saloon that he thinks was red (due to paint on his bike) & his front right of the car will be badly damaged (the car took the mushroom off the bike as well!)

The good news was that he is fine but bruised & sore.

He dropped it into a garge who quoted him 1500/1600 for the work which imo seem an ok price for the work (feel free to correct me) not including fairing

So im also looking for anywhere that might have cheap left fairing, for a 2000, Yamaha YZF R6 :)

    Any info would be appreciated

Jeez that sounds like he got away lightly so to speak. Out of interest what happened? Some cager dink him, he falls over, they panic and do a runner?

Has he reported this to the Gardai?
If not he should do this immediately and give as much detail as possible.
Did he ask for witnesses at the scene, someone could have got a good description of the car / driver and a partial plate.

This sort of scum would think nothing of leaving any one of us for dead on the road, they need to be behind bars preferably, but this being Ireland I'd settle for a driving ban...

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

yeah he reported it immediately, but there is little that the guards will...sorry can do about it, there were no witnesses & he didnt get any of the plate. All he knows is that it was a red saloon.
