    Hi,
Im looking to get involved or give a go to some new outdoor activites in the next few weeks. Hillwalking is one for definite ill be doing as I want to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro next year but am interested in other things that may be going on in South Mayo, North Galway. Is there a portal for this or will I have have to research each activity seperately?

I do not know the area well. But to take the example of Westport you can cave in Allie river cave, surf at Cross Beach, jump off cliffs round Old Head and then have a quick run up Croagh Patrick. Anywhere west coast you are spoiled for choice for out door activities.

Second Croagh Patrick, I've "climbed" that in the snow which was great fun. Haven't been to Delphi in fifteen years but it was great then anyway!

Would there be stuff happenin' at Delphi this time of year? Also, would you need your own group or is it possible just one or two could go along?

Ya, im goin to climb Croagh Patrick. Ill check out Delphi and look out for some clubs but I think ill hold off until after the winter as I doubt there would be much going on at this time.

Croagh Patrick was great, this was February a few years ago. With an extreme hangover! (It is not as difficult as it can be made to look in a photo!)

Cool. Why did you do it in snow? Trying to get the Everest experience?
    Definitely looks like fun!

We weren't particularly aiming to do it in the snow, it just happened that there was snow on it when we were in Westport. Definately added to the experience. It is not a difficult one at all, mostly a hike with just a bit of a scramble up at the end.
