I'm after plain and simple white crockery (plates in particular) that won't break the bank. Any ideas?

I picked up a set of crockery (4 x Plates, 4 x Bowls, 4 x Sideplates and 4 x Cups) for €15 about two weeks ago. Admittedly the ones I got are white with a black design, but they had loadsmore types at that price. Might be worth a look ?

Saw some White tablewear on sale in Debenhams in Jervis- top floor. All I noticed was that it was 50% off but didnt look at the prices so thats not very useful! They did look to be a good size and quality- Debenhams also have 25% sale off at the moment so there could be more off them.

Villeroy & Boch have opened in the Kildare outlet centre and they had 3 ranges of white tablewear at various prices, but seemed quite good value. Also try Arnotts basement - always handy for a clearance item.

I recently bought this one at Argos:

    http://www.argos.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=30001&catalogId=10151&productId=645690

At 40€, it's good value I think. This is real porcelain, not cheap stoneware - it's white all the way, so if you chip or scratch it, the marks will hardly be visible.

Also, this set includes two very nice serving bowls.
