He is in town for the European Poker Masters on Friday sponsored by Full Tilt, of which he is one of the big name associated pros.

Tell her I said Hi and asked how she is doing, and reply here.

Which other big name pros are playing on Friday?

Quite a lot of them so.

Any idea if people will be free to walk in and join the railbirds?

Best of luck in it btw :)

I'd be more interested in getting drunk with Pythia than any of the poker pros.

I know there is a supporting event on both the Saturday and the Sunday so I see no reason why people won't be free to just wander in, but then again I could be wrong so don't quote me. I would imagine there will just be some 'away from the table' type rule in force.

    Hey all,

I was looking back through posts about the EPM tomorrow, this one kinda answers what I want to know, maybe someone can confirm.

Can ordinary members of the SE wander in to check out the action?
Or will registered players in the tourney only be allowed to enter the card room?

Also, am I right in thinking the tourney is on the 2nd floor? Or are there other floors I've not been on

Any cheers for any replies. And good luck to all the boardsies playin. (i know there's another thread like this goin...

I am assuming the same as you villi@n, but I won't know for sure until tomorrow. I know there are stairs leading up to a 3rd floor, but I have never been up there, and don't know what is up there. I don't think it is in use for gaming though.

I'm intrigued (is that the right word?).

Didn't Devore interview Ferguson in Vegas last year? Said he was a really good guy?

Strange place to be browsing Derek (I don't want to know)

Ferguson is one of the nicest poker players I've had the good fortune to chat to, a genuine gent.

Antesup will be covering this event of course, starting tomorrow evening! (couldnt let something like this pass under our noses in our own home town!).

I expect they will allow the public in to railbird though I dont know that for sure. I cant imagine there will be a huge crowd so it shouldnt be a problem.

    DeV.

railbirding is allowed...i asked John last night.

also if your a member of the club youll be allowed to go to the college of surgeons to view the final table on sunday...which i belileve kicks off at 2pm but not sure 100%

Pity whoever is bringing him out in Dublin didn't take him to a decent drinking pub instead of giving him a taste of the "Celtic Tiger" D2 crowd. Must want to put him on tilt.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,912 ✭✭✭Washout

also Clonie Gowan was in the SE last nite.

Alex said Phil Ivey isnt coming over and dont think Matasow or Juanda are either.

Allen Cunningham should be around as well

    Hey all,

Thanks for the replies. Delighted about that. I'll be poppin in on the way home from work hopefully, and I'll be back in later in town. Planning to call in later and see if there's any insane cash games going on.

Shame about some of the big names rumoured to be not attending, was kinda looking forward to seeing Juanda and 'The Mouth', but ah well.
I'm sure it'll be interesting all the same!

I was in Amsterdam(Holland casino) last week for the Master classics of poker, didn't play the main event or any event for that matter as i only play cash games but i didn't notice any really big names at this - place was packed, the cash games 10/5 euro were pretty tight and very serious and kinda boring(are they all like this at this level?) Walked out 900 euro up for the weekend including hotel/food/drinks/lap dances/sex shows, i had a great time - its the first time i was at a biggish tournament, enjoyable but packed

    rant over
Now lets get back to the serious stuff - more pics of Pythia:)

I could never fold in this position. There is some merit for an open push here but I think you should play conservative and check/call her down to the river.

In fairness she didnt speak to us she just posted an eek smiley, I dont think we can equate that with any type of meaningful interaction.
