I am thinking possibly of getting a tatoo of a dragon on my arm. It will be my first tatoo. Is there any websites that I could take a look at that would have a couple of pictures of a dragon tatoo?

Not trying to be smart ok.. but like if you cant spell tattoo properly your not that serious about it.. (may sound stupid but like) I only have two tattoos got mine second one today infact and while I was waiting some guy came in and was like I wana make an appointment to get one, the guy said any idea what you want? He said no! Thats soo annoying

I seriously think you should get something that means something as your 1st tattoo unless dragons mean something to you? If so fire away and get it! Please dont get it because you think it looks cool! You will probably regret it in like 5 years!

Again not trying to annoy you just letting you know! ;)

I don't think it necessarily has to mean something to you though, like it's nice if you have a meaning associated to it, but tattoo's can be for the art and love of them, just as much as meaning. Saying that, only one of mine has a meaning behind it and while the others don't, I still associate them to stuff that was going on at the time.
But I agree that this guy should wait, purely on age basis.

Mine doesn't mean anything to me and neither will my next one. I just happen to like them. If you are underage put it out of your head until you are eighteen. When that time comes then start to "think" about it i.e. don't go running out on your eighteenth birthday to get one.

Oh I know that I must have said it wrong.. The fact hes 16 might make his mind wander a bit..Like make something look really cool but would forget about it a couple of weeks later..

There was loads of times when I wanted tattoos and I had changed my mind a couple of weeks later.. I spent nearly 6 months thinkin about my 1st tattoo and three for my second one..

I just dont want the guy to get something he might regret! My cousin whos 17 I think wants to get a dragon too just because he thinks it looks cool!

It took me over a year to fully decide on the tattoo that i wanted. i had it as my screen saver on my computer for that length of time just to make sure i did like it.

What is it? It must really mean something!

Again why does it have to mean something? Mine is a tribal design on my arm and means absolutely nothing to me but I still wanted it. Took me a year before I said "Right, its time to get it." I too am thinking of getting a chinese dragon style tattoo but it will be customized hopefully. It still means nothing to me except that I like tattoos and like the design I have in my head for it. I got my first in January this year and will get my next hopefully before the end of the year or in Jan/Feb.

I dont know I guess everyone is just different and has different opinions on tattoos, like I like it to mean something and you dont think it matters.

    Crazy world out there :D

    K. AM I the only one who gets tats on the spur o the moment? I bought my friend this legend bday card (That you can get in visuals on liffey st) and I loved the two dragon/fairy.doll thingys and I said screw it, they'd look deadly and now they're on both me feet! They mean nothing, I just looooove them! Screw what I'll think in 10 years. They're legend now! :)

Anyways. This guy has no choice but t wait till he's 18 anywho... His body 's still growin and I'm sure he wont want a distorted piece when he's like 20... not pretty.

i think they should mean somthing.
i know a guy whos nearly blind (long story) who is convinced he is going with his dad to snakebite when hes 16 to get a dragon tattoo'd on his arm, whats the point? dragons mean nothing to him, i asked if it ment anything and he said "no, but it would look cool"
(but then again he wont be able to see it in ten years, so kinda hard to regret it if you dont know what it looks like)

that and everyone and their granny has a dragon tattoo.

Thats the best idea. I just got my first tattoo (at 26), after having the design for 2 years! I had a few designs before that but went off them after a short period of time.

Best idea is search online for designs and pick a few out, pick your fav, and keep it for at least 6 months and if you havent gone off it, chances are you won't go off it. :)
