Hi All, Long time listener first time caller...

I was playing $.05/0.10 9 handed ring game on Full Tilt last night when this situation occured...

All players involved have roughly equal stacks (c.$15). Sorry I don't have proper HH, turns out Full Tilt does not save em by default. :(
This is to the best of my recollection...

No real reads on villains, they're not crazy or super-loose nor are they rock-ish, and I think my image would be tight.

Villain 1 UTG raises 0.30, called by Villain2 in MP, folded to me on the button.
    I look down at:

    Jh Jd.

So I decide to re-pop it to $1.20 (Good/Bad?). Blinds fold.
Villain 1 calls, as does Villain 2... Flop:

    Ac Kc Ts. ($3.75)

Nightmare flop I think. Check. Check. I also Check, should I have made a probe bet (maybe $1)?
    Turn comes:

    Jc ($3.75)

Villain 1 bets $1, called by Villain 2, I raise it up $4 (too little?), Villain 1 re-raises all in for another $7ish, Villain 2 folds.
Basically he is putting me all-in. I know these are small numbers to some of you guys, but I'm working on building a bankroll! :)

    Action to me...

Also what do you put Villain 1 on? maybe (AA,KK,QQ,AJ+,KJ+,Qx)?

    Thanks in advance!

the better poker players here will prob give you better advice than me but I'd have deffo cont-bet the flop when it was checked to me and I would have made it maybe $3 into the $3.75 pot.
    You pre-flop action seems fine

As played, the villain is basically telling you he has a Q but given the action you are priced in to call and hit one of your 10 outs...so callcallcallcall

    Checking the flop fine
Betting is also fine as long as you remember a bet on that flop is a bluff

now there is a very obvious straight and a flush out there why are we raising ?
here a raise here is behind the flush which is not folding and the straight which at these levels never folds either so all that happens is hands we beat fold and hands we dont stay or raise us

Now folding is probably best option here but I could call
we need to ask the question does two pair ever re-raise there if you know that this player will re-raise with two pair maybe with 1 club then you can call
Otherwise fold and remember that on turns like that a re-raise is a bluff and a set is too good a hand to bluff with here

    preflop and flop are fine

I would just call the turn and hope to fill

I'd have bet the flop and folded to a check raise. If I bet and get called I'm probably not betting again.

When the jack hits the turn I fold. Raising is the worst option.

Probably would have checked the flop and flat called the turn, and folded to a bet on an unimproved river.

    Reraise is horrible imo.

    Hi Dantes,

I've been playing at this level trying to do the same thing as yourself! Have you considered playing 6Max? I've found it a lot easier to play.

Thanks all for your opinions, very useful analysis for me. I guess looking at it now, the raise was the worst move I could have made and think I would probably flat call turn and re-evaluate on the river if I had another chance. I ended up folding so I will never know, but I put the Villain on QQ. :(

Peeko: Haven't actually tried the 6 max, mainly because I know my starting requirements pretty well 9 or 10 handed, and it would prob take a little while to loosen into 6-max. I think I'll give it a shot though as I find myself 3 tabling these 9 handed tables just to try keep awake some players are v slow...

If it were checked to me on the flop I'd put in about a half or two thirds the pot, then have just flat called the turn bet (provided they I got a caller on the flop and the action that came on the turn was the same as what happened in your example.) and see what the river brings.
The raise on the turn is horrible.

yeah I 2 table 6Max and it's enough action to keep you interested because you are never that early in position. give it a go, you should try get pokertracker and PAHUD setup for your cash game as well if you are any way serious about it.
