Myself and the other half are going to be heading off for a few days in the next 2 weeks.

    The thing is where?
We are looking at the west of ireland mainly Galway or Mayo or even the Shannon Region

Does anybody recommend A hotel or an offer you saw?

Theselooks seriously good but I dont really know what else is out there?

200 euros per person for a B&B 3 nights including 2 dinners and full use of their spa isnt too bad IMO

Why not look North , Derry city offers great deals hotel wise, mid week even better , it is without doubt the friendliest city in Ireland ( as long as you stay city side) , some great places for eating out at good prices , good lively bars , and without mentioning the C word , it offers better value shopping than Newry , less crowds.
You dont say where you are traveling from but i would imagine the traffic would treat you better going North , be wary of Omagh , traffic nightmare.
Have a good break anyway north or south!

I stay in Westport and Castlebar a lot.
If your looking for peace and quiet I'd recommend the Atlantic Coast Hotel in Westport. Beautiful place.
    Anywho. Some links:

    http://www.castlecourthotel.ie/ (Bit lively at times)
And this B&B complex in Castlebar is grand. It's reasonable enough.

There are more but these are the ones i've stayed in.

I am the manager of Galway Hotel Guide, www.galwayhotelguide.com This is the best guide for finding hotels in Galway City and Galway County. Every hotel in Galway is here and you can also see what the general public think of the hotels. Its well worth a visit, and it sends users direct to the hotels website so you can get the best deal, no booking fees from 3rd parties.

Achill Island; just off the coast of Mayo - rugged, secluded and romantic - what more could you want??

I have used the Galway Hotel Guide.
It has most of the hotels in Galway included.
