    MTT Satellite

MP with AJo - C.45k Chips of the 260k in play with 24 players remaining. Blinds 200/400. Known player raises to 4BB in UTG, I call, 2 other callers.

Flop 10 6 3 rainbow - checked around to button who pushes all in for c.14k, initial raisers calls for c.8k.

I have AJo - I have to call, Im priced in.

Button turns 44, Initial raiser AQo.

Was my call correct with AJo?

    ty.

Really bad call preflop. On the flop theres about 60-70k in there so you cant really fold for 14k, but you might want to have considered that preflop!

    Am i missing something ....

    raised to 4BB called in 3 = 1600 x 4 = 6400 - 7k max (with blinds)

    then a 14k + 8k all in = 22k more = 29k total where he has to call 14k with AJ

hmm terrible play all round imo (from all 3 hands)

Edit: in fairness i guess initial raiser is getting the correct odds and played the hand ok!

This is terrible. Fold preflop, fold flop. Yikes

    absolutely horrendous in every aspect.
calling on the flop after that action is crazy.

4*bb UTG, surely you have to give some respect to that. If not what are you beating on the flop V 2 players all in? Fold * 2.

This has to be a joke.

    This is not a joke.

I was not involved in the hand. The caller with AJ was adamant that he made the right call. At first I asked if it he was joking but I later relented to his superior card playing ability and agreed that he was correct. FWIW player with 44 was genuinely adamant that the call with AJ was a good un.

Obv I think this is horrendus. Said player was discussed at length here last week.

Terrible play all round. Priced in me arse. This makes my poor move last week look like genius. I presume the J spiked?

Oh no - the 44 held up. I thought I had that in my initial post.

Well you didn't. I am disappointed now. I was imagining the AJ dude getting congratulated all round for his genius. No wonder the 44 guy agreed that it was a good call when his hand held up.

Twas so obvious aswell. What is the point of this thread? Its unbelievably clear that its terrible from AJ, if the clown thinks hes right then why bother giving him advice, let him keep playing like this

For the avoidance of doubt - I am not bitching about anybody in this hand.

I genuinely thought this was appaling play, I was seeking confirmation of my impression.

It was Mick the Lip - the Paul McGrath lookalike who hangs his lip out when he is bluffing.

MrPillowTalk was commenting last week on his cash game play the night of the last boards game.

I was just about to say that it sounds like a play Mick would make! I heard he won a ticket to the EPM in the SE on monday..can't be true can it????

Very true Tony - he knocked me out in 4th place when he spiked an A on the river. I was in the BB and after everyone limped I pushed all in for another 25k when I looked down at 77 - he called with AJo. Blinds were 1500/3000/300ante. That would have left me with 65k in chips of the 260k in play and also would have left me with my biggest chipcount of the night. I felt if I won that hand I was going all the way as I had the measure of the table.
