It should be pretty easy to set up, you don't need the browser to establish a connection. Just try it with a game or something, that's all you need. I feel obliged to warn you, though; the browser by all reports is godawful. It's slow as tar and has limited compatibility, not worth the €40 or whatever pricetag. But if you've your heart set on portable DS browsing, then by all means go for it.

Are you able to get online with DS games at the moment?

I thought the Netopia router wasn't compatible with DS WiFi. If you have Mario Kart or another WiFi connection game then it might be worth your while to check it out with that.

As someone else stated the browser isn't great. It lacks Flash/Java support and is only really useful for checking gmail and browsing web forums on the go.

You can check it out on Opera's website though and ask any specific questions you might have in the Opera for DS forum.

You should also check out Nintendo's WiFi connection website where they list some of the recommended routers and they have forums where you could search to see if yours is compatible.

If it isn't compatible with your router, you will need the Nintendo WiFi Adapter for your Pc to use the web browser or go online with DS. Its about 30 Euro or so.

The netopia router is compatable. It's just not 100% compatable.

While using wifi on the netopia router, the DS cuts off after 10 minutes and theres no way to fix it.

I have the netopia router, its works 100% with nearly everything else other than the ds.

I had to buy the usb Wifi connector for my online ds needs which works great ! :)
