There might be a possibility that i could be travelling from London with a stopover in Moscow for a few hours then onto Dubai and the same on way back.

My question is would i actually need to apply for some type of Visa seen as ill be in Moscow for a few hours but ill only be in Sheremetyevo airport and wont be leaving there?

I do know you need a visa to enter Russia normally but surely i don't need one just for a stopover?

I believe you still need a transit visa. Best to double check with the embassy.

The last time I passed through Moscow (without leaving the airport) I didn't need a visa but ring the embassy to double check.
