    i've been using the VideoDownloader extension for FireFox and the SUPER encoder to do the same thing. iTube looks more graceful in it's execution however.

    SUPER is a great encoder actually, dunno where i came across it, but it's fast and freeware, converts pretty much anything into anything.

    just for the ipod video, nano currently dosen't support video files.

    Ah no, there is no point really. It wouldn’t be practical to even try viewing videos on a nano.

    Part of the fun of buying a gadget is knowing that it has features you'll probably never use. It just feels good!

    As with many things (like Limewire for example), it depends on what you use it for.

    If you used it to download something that shouldn't have been on YouTube in the first place because of copyright, distribution rights, etc., then yes, you'll be doing something illegal. If not, you won't.
