It might be worth contacting the German embassy:

    31 Trimleston Avenue
    Booterstown
    Blackrock
    Co. Dublin

    Tel.: (+353) - (0)1 - 269 3011

    Fax: (+353) - (0)1 - 269 3946

    E-Mail: germany@indigo.ie

    Opening hours:
    Monday to Friday 08.30 - 11.30 am

    Visasection: 08.30 - 11.30 am

    Other consular matters: 08.30 - 11.30am

I would imagine the working visa for Ireland would not make any difference, and that what ever arrangements operate between Jordan and Germany would still apply.

As far as I know you don't need a visa.
all that's needed is a valid passport, a return ticket and enough funds to cover your trip.
As these requirements can change regularly you would be advised to contact the german embassy to double check.

I'm pretty sure that you DO need a visa. Jordan is not on the list of countries allowed visa-free entry to Germany and Ireland is NOT in the Schengen free travel area, so you would have to go through immigration on entering Germany. I have travelled from Ireland to continental Europe with a Russian and IIRC they definately needed a visa (and certainly they were massively delayed at immigration.)

Best get in touch with the German embassy.
