It looks heavily volvo influenced alright. Never been a fan of Ford cars looks wise mainly and I don't think this car will do anything to change my opinion

The front grill is large like the Peugeot but it looks better as it's not impersonating a smiling fish

I'm not a fan of Euro/US cars but it does look a lot better then the last design.

Ther lights on the back scream old man imo.

I like the front, the rear looks really crappy though. Looks out of proportion or something. Hmnnn. Will be interesting to see it on the roads for a proper look.

TBH I think the Mondeo is the only family car worth bothering with. Ford really have got their mix of reliability, driver enjoyment, practicality, price, and looks just right. For reasonably priced cars they put so many other marques to shame.

I can see from the background that theres an old shape Mondeo estate rolling off a similiar production line as well as a number of other fords so maybe this particular car is a pre-production model (not officially produced on the line). As to how the person got sacked, probably ford checked the rosters for when these people were working. He/She should have blanked out the face of the person driving. Factories have tight security. Camera phones or cameras are not allowed in unless authorised for official publicity or unless you are part of a visiting group seeing how official cars are built as opposed to pre production top secret R+D office mules...

The rear lights don't suit though...think they could have done better but thats the look of most new Fords these days

suppose to be march 2007,but iwas told that the s-max was held up so the same will prob happen the the next Mondeo.fitzpatricks in bray say it will probably be out summer 07.

Agree completely, nice front, nasty back. I do like the lines towards the back (as viewed from the side) but the boot from behind, ugh. And "tacktastic" pretty much sums up the stereo.
