IE Security Tab

When I go into IE properties and the security Tab I only have the option for My Computer and not the usual General, Security, Connection etc....
Anybody seen this before? Did a full Virus scan with up to date Virus software and checked it with Spybot, but still to avail, when I open any window including an Windows Explorer window I get an active x security error, so I can't even browse files on the local HDD, the one funny thing I noticed was the Icons were lined up on one side of the control panel, similar to the Virus that was going round a few years ago (can't remember the name of it), but this PC is patched up to date, it's Windows 2000 SP4, anyone any ideas??

    Try re-registering softpub32.dll

To do this go to Start > Run > regsvr32 softpub.dll

Alternatively try uninstalling / reinstalling Internet Explorer

    Or just use firefox. :D
