9 handed at the Final table. Average stack is 30,000. Blinds are 2,000/4,000.

First 6 get paid. First 2 is where the money is.

4th hand of the FT and I am utg with 30K and look down and see QQ.:eek:

I have been very shortstacked until the FT and had been pushing any chance I got.

What would you do

If you do anything other than the norm then people will be suspicious, so push is your only option. They way the blinds etc are you stand a good chance of getting called by any pair, any decent A or any 2 picture cards.

Given that you've been push happy push again. Sometimes I'd make it 12k here and call any bet and push any flop but it's a nice place to open push if you've been doing that a bit already.

Thanks guys.

The reason for my post was out of curiosity to see if anybody would advocate a min raise and suggest that there might be some way that you could get away from this.

Dont get me wrong, I would never want to get away from this but I could just picture somebody saying that it was a bad play. Personnaly I was delighted to see the ladies and was only too happy to make the obligatory push.

I'm confused. Use of the word "amn't" is hardly indicitive of a genius, but at the same time use of it subtly proves your point, and this contradicts the other.

I dont like this at all. If i see a shortie raising it (>10bb's) to anything other than all-in, I reduce my range calling range as its very often a high pair (depending on how i rate the player)

Push is the only option imo
