What MP3 players are people using, apart from iPods and why? Was thinking of buying a new MP3 player but DRRM is a pain.

iRiver and Cowon iAudio would be two brands I'd recommend.

I have an iRiver h120 at the moment, it's great.
Not sure if you can still get them,
the H300 series has replaced them, with extras like video playback, colour screen etc.

If I needed a new one I'd be buying the cowon iAudio X5, it's defo one of the best mp3 players around.

I have had nothing but great experiences with these... Their customer aftersales service is second to none... I had a problem with the unit immediately after I purchased it and I phoned their support line... They sent a TNT courier to collect it on the 20th of December2004 I had a replacement 4 days later (At christmas time!)

I have the Archos gMini 400 (since replaced by the 402 model)

They have mini music players and excellent video playback units also...

    Hope this helps!!

Em, DRM is only applicable if you purchase music from the iTunes store or similar.

Unfortuantely the H300 hasn't been made for quite some time either, and the newer models pale in comparison.

Archos and iAudio both have some really good players but If your lookin for somethin that's like an iPod (only better) then I reckon the Creative Zen Vision:m is probably the best alternative.
