You can buy a mobile phone with Vodafone as many times as you want. All you have to do is reg the phone every 30 days. IE you have to wait 30 days before you can reg each phone. I've been doing this for 2 years.

as far as i know, you can register a phone bought last month now and get the 120, its whenever you register as opposed to when you bought but open to correction

if i unlocked the fone to give to my sister .. and i kept the sim card after regestering etc etc. will the credit come to the sim even in a different handset?
7360. i mean nice fone ... for the price.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 902 ✭✭✭BreadBoard

You don't get a sim with the phone. You buy it as an upgrade, then when you receive the phone you go to - https://www.vodafone.ie/myv/services/login/login.jsp?redirect=/myv/priceplans/bonuspack/index.jsp, then log in with your details and then enter the IMEI number.

Sometimes you get an error saying this phone has been registered.... Just ring Vodafone and tell them, they know it's a common problem and they'll reg it for you. So when you reg it the credit will go to your existing Vodafone number.

Had the same idea, did a search and it said these can only be unlocked by the network.

vodafone will only unlock the phone after you have spent €127 (not free reg credit) on the account but anybody can unlock the phone with one of the unlocking programs or take it to one of the dodgy phones shop in most towns and the will unlock it for you (for 10 or 15 €)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,799 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

My only problem with that is, apart from switching to Meteor last week, is that I'd go through the €10 a month within about two days on Vodafone. Since switching over, I've saved about €30. It is a good deal though. Maybe if I hasnt switched I might have done it

    Hi

I think you might have both options, I added a phone to the basket and I was asked "I already have a Vodafone Mobile Number" or "Send me a new Vodafone Mobile Number" so I think with the 2nd option they send you a SIM card.

    Regards

The Nokia 7360 is not a BB5 or ASIC 11 handset and is unlockable by code generator.

    Hi

Do you know if all them are unlocked or only the Nokia 7360?

Was looking at Motorola E770v, Motorola L2, Vodafone V710 or a Sharp 770SH

Some of the above have free accessories.

Does anyone know if the offers are also in the Vodafone shops?

    Regards

    Hi nava,

I think he just got lucky with the two he got. I know a bit about unlocking phones and I'm sure those other four phones you listed would require you to get unlocked in an unlocking shop.

Just got the Nokia 7360 in the post yesterday. It's pretty cool and has a lot of applications that could come in handy but haven't tried many of them yet like fm radio, mms, camera, recorder, infrared, push to talk, email, instant messenger, web.
The only think I noticed for registering the phone in order to get the credit. It said E60 by filling in the form and post it and E80 by doing it online.

I thought it was E120 or is that for a new phone instead of an upgrade which is what i got

probably just a standard registration form that came in the box.
You'll get the €120 but you will have to register on the web www.vodafone.ie
    to get the full amouunt....

    Hi there,

What do you do with your surplus phones? Unlock them and sell them on?

    Thanks

    Mike

BreadBoard, why would I have to wait 30 days before registering the phone?
If I bought two, could I not register both on the same day?

BTW - LOL at the vodafone account screenshot you sent - genius!

You don't have to wait 30 days to reg the phone. You can reg a new phone every 30 days. No you can't reg them the same day unless you use two different Voda numbers. I use the same Voda number all the time, so put the credit on the same number.

You could into Vodafone and buy 100 phones, you just have to reg them 30 days in between, that's their rules.
