How to buy a retirement bond ?

    I've a lump sum to invest in a retirement bond and have identified the funds into which I want to invest.

    I approach the fund managers directly and was told to contact one of their tied agents. I did, but was taken aback at the costs. I essentially want an "execution only" service - ie. paperwork, so I dont need any advice.

    Whats the cheapest way to invest in these circumstances.

    There are some intermediarys out there who do it for nil commission and will charge a flat admin fee for doing it...

    LA Brokers are one i've heard of...
