    Lovely Jeff.

Oh to be able to play this and open push blind on every hand. Loudly declaring "Awww IIInnnn - Gambol, no lose" whilst doing so.

Is there ever going to be a freeze out in DIT?

i played a €10 freexe out in trinity last night and it was a very good structure.
Starting stacks were 3000 and it was possible to actually play better poker.

Time wasn't too bad either as rebuys and top ups were out.

Just another notice in case people dont know about all DIT games. (sorry to hijack thread).
DIT, being irelans ultimate poker college, run three games a week. Bolton, Kevin and aungier streets,
TONIGHT in the Bolton street canteen is the first of this weeks games. €5 entry, with 2 rebuys and top-ups. NO REG.
So anyone who can't afford the sat in the SE come along for a lesson in student poker. If you dont know where bolton street is, its the max of the UGC/IMAX/SHOOTERS complex.

And to roadsweeper. DIT ran a €20 freezeout last year. And will run another again soon. Maybe €10.

i'd personally love to run a freezeout. The thing is though its difficult to find a structure that suits. you will get alot of people who will play a 5 euro rebuy tournament and rebuy 3 times, but these same people would not go near a 15euro freezeout. The 5 rebuy means tehre's a nice pot at the end. If aodea wakes up and sees this thread i'd be keen to know his point of view on running a 10-15 euro freezeout next week or the week after. would there be demand for say a 15euro freezeout with final table getting a DIT POKER SOC hoody (yea, we're getting hoodies!)

    any suggestions?

I'd play, as long as I was available. i'd play anything from €10-€20.
I'll mention it at the bolton street game and see what kind of numbers are interested.

I think a 10-20 eur freezeout would be a better success for people that actually wanna play poker.

Meh - go with a €15 freezeout. 4,000 starting - 20 min levels. Will probably take a similiar amount of time. Considerably less fun tho...

Oh and, I'm getting a hoodie right!!!

jeff hit the nail on the head when he pointed out that people have no prob spending a fiver and will rebuy up to three times but will just not want to play a 15-20 freeze out. You will get a few runners but not as many as the rebuy. Ldog gets a hoody but only if he agrees that ditpoker is the hardest tourni to win in the EU. yes im including Belguim.

i basically handed it to you jeff. i was praying your 8's would hold up

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,860 ✭✭✭ditpoker

    yea, me too!
88 was good to me yesterday, they held up against ur AQ and they crippled caroline when she was chip leader when i raised my 3rd hand in a row and she pushed with 88 against my QQ. that gave me a nice stack then after i got ur chips with about 5 left i'd have had to have done something very bad to not get at least heads up.

    u making an appearance tonight?

Poor crippled caroline, after donating all my chips to you and rushing off to 108 game wasnt even on.

Yeah its defo on. Not fully sure on details yet. As far as i know it starts at 4 expecting minimum 30 players, all monies go into prize pot. Will check poster tonight and post tomorrow. Wats the story with dealers wanted for plaza, see u were talking to the guy. Didnt want to pm him and look like a fool...do u need to have experience...never dealt a real tournie before but would like to think im pretty good.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,860 ✭✭✭ditpoker

im waiting on details from him. 20 mins before the start of the tourney just to iron some dealing specifics should be plenty. i'll be emailing DIT poker members with info when i get it.
