Podcasts appearing under ipod music menu grouping

    Hi

    IPOD Video, 60GB

    For some reason, my podcasts are appearing under the music main menu option on my IPOD. There is even a "Podcast" menu item under the music main menu option. I assume this is because some podcasts are of the music genre. However, most of my podcasts are not of this genre but of the newstalk / techtalk genre.

    Is there a type attribute which podcasters assign to their podcasts which is set incorrectly and causing the issue I am seeing? What can I do myself to fix this issue locally so that the podcasts do not appear under the main menu music option?

    Any advice appreciated.

    I don't think you can remove it from the music menu, but you can add it to the main menu if you want. Where exactly do you want to see it, and is it really a problem to have it under music as well as the main menu?

    Thx for the reply. Podcasts appearing as part of my album music collection is a crap user experience creating alot of unnecessary noise which I have to navigate thru. Albums are albums, podcasts are not albums....

    It is not just an issue with the Podcast menu option appearing under the Music folder, the downloaded podcasts are appearing under the music folder, along with my album listings for some reason...

    Ah, I see what you mean now. I don't usually use my collection via the album options, but I can see how it would be annoying alright.
