far far more reliable than ebay - good customer support and replace anything if its faulty. seriously tho - id go for that one over the one on ebay

Komplett are reliable. I've used them many times.

white_falcon: ebay is just a sales forum. Saying that ebay is not reliable is not quite true. It'd be more accurate to say that there may be sellers who use ebay that aren't reliable. Similar to adverts.ie. But they have a very good rating system - and this seller in particular has 21,000 positive ratings. I'd say he'd be reliable enough. A plus for the ebay seller is that they'll replace it in the first year if it fails and then 2 more years RTM warranty. Komplett only offer RTM warranties after the initial 30-day cooling off period.

In this particular case I'd go with the ebay one if all other things were equal. It's cheaper and the warranty is better. On the other hand it's a Maxtor. I'd choose WD over Maxtor anyday.

Cheapest way i could find for a portable hard drive is buying a laptop hardrive and then get an enclosure separate ebay's the best place for them
