I'm using a proxy in college and am finding it difficult to configure it with rapidget, httptrack and other programs. I put in an address and port # "http://******.ie:8010" in the connections part of firefox and it works great. I have tried typing in the same address into the various programs but they don't work. any ideas? i have heard something about "local host" or "127.0.0.1" but they haven't worked for me either. Is there something i'm missing?
    Thanks in advance!

You wouldn't normally include "http://" in a proxy server address.
