Does anyone have a good article about modding the xbox 360 and the possible pitfalls. I had my orginal xbox modded, but forgot to switch the chip off and went online and was banned , really dont want this to happen again.

All of the tutorials say go on live at your own risk
The most recent live update (November) seems to only affect certain firmware mods.
But there are rumors they might be collecting information for a mass shut-out. Again they are only rumors.
