I doubt they do tbh mate... It was only legalised recently, I would think it'll be a few months before we see them in car boot sales.

They may sell springers, though, if you're interested in them.

Interesting... I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing: good that they're becoming more mainstream, so we might have good numbers for skirmishes, and also good that we might see an airsoft shop opening sooner than we think.

But I'm not too happy about them being sold at things like Toys4BigBoys. I woulda thought that would lead to more kids running around shooting at each other and losing eyes, leading to them being outlawed again.

The sooner an Irish airsoft organisation gets going, the sooner we can petition the minister to introduce some regulations so that we can have out sport nice and safe. It's only a matter of time before some oul one gets shot and the topic ends up on Joe Duffy

There was also a placs selling replica ak47 and uzis and the like. Don't you need a licence for a replica firearm?

i dont think that selling springers or aegs in carboot sales etc is not a good way to go. i mean look at what we have to put up with up here in NI, little **** running around getting the good sport in the bad media spotlight continuously. 3 in one week a month ago,

if you are desperate to get a proper aeg with full accessories most new unused and the aeg upgraded to the legal limit pm me or email to bniall@gmail.com for me to send some pics

need i mention that it would be cheaper than buying new!!

    Thanks bniall,
Just checking out availability but I would not be selling just buying if I see one at a good price.

Every weekend there is a market near Tullamore, can't think of the name of the place now... I'll post the name if I can remember.
Anyway, they sell cheap springers and the odd AEG (unknown brand).
But I reckon its all cheap stuff anyway.

There used to be a guy selling cheap springers at the market in Kilkee town, I got a couple of them last summer, they're just the el cheapo 'CYMA' models, but fun non the less.....but then last summer the sight of airsoft guns, the fact that they were illegal and cheap made my jaw hit the ground :D

its amazing how quickly your opinion can change. i remember, after ages of wanting one, i finally got a springer a few years back. made by Hapdong. a semi decent cheap brand. i played with it for hours on end.

now i just look at the thing and laugh :D
    .
actually N.O.I.P, i think you offered me 40 or 50 quid for it. i have reconsidered your offer and accept :D

Not a chance mate, given recent history I'd probably get screwed on the shipping :D

Haha, I was the same.....I thought I was the bee's knee's with my Beretta that could could punch holes in paper at about 10m max and my other 'automatic rifle thingy' (I forget the model name) that could manage about 15m, and still have to recock after every shot :(

Maybe the fact that they were so hard to get, were such a novelty and were 'bad' made them a whole lot more 'back in the day' :D
