video ipod issues

i have the latest 5g video ipod but i am having problems converting dvds etc to my ipod, i have bought quicktime pro and its on my pc, but when i go to convert or drag a dvd to itunes nothing shows up on the screen, can anyone help me out here as to the right procedure ...thx..

You have to "rip" the DVD first to decode it and make it into a single mpeg file. I think NERO can do this, not too sure.

I use Macs so I'm sorry I can't suggest anything for the PC. Something like this might do the job.
