Buy in for 100.Playin tight enough doubled up after 7 r 8 hands.Couple of rounds go by Limp mid pos, with 97 spades.Sb raises to 12. two callers in front of me so i call. Flop comes 10 K 8 rainbow. BB makes it 40.Second player calls, i move all in for 200 r so.BB thinks and folds 2nd player calls with KJ.I dont make my st8.

OK just wants some comments on my play here, apart from my loose call pre flop did i play the hand badly?? I mean the only hand he was beatin was K9.Well in my eyes it was a bad call! But he did have TP jack kicker lol.. Just lookin for opinions on the hand!!

It all depends. Was the second player loose in general? Maybe he had a read of some sort? How had he been playing, and how had you been playing?

I'm confused. Are you suggesting you were relying on your tight image to get through a reraise for your entire stack with nothing but the draw?

As I understand it they dont understand "Tight" in the SE

In my limited experience of the SE cash game, you are going to get guys going all the way with top pair weak/no kicker. These guys will pay you off when you have top 2pair, set, str8 e.t.c. No need to push here coz your not going to get the respect your looking for. In your own words you said the guy was a donk, did you really think he was going to fold ? Playing against good players is a different story. I wait for a better spot in this situation.

don't try and push calling stations off a hand.

I was playing in the SE cash game last night too. Didnt play a hand for half an hour, limped with kings, pot gets raised by an English twat.

I push and talk him into calling with 97s. Rivers a straight... goodnight irene

Id be surprised if half the players in there could spell 'tight'

I must agree the SE is a gold mine.

In this hand, I wouldn't bother pushing, you're getting lovely odds to just call and because your hand is basically COMPLETELY hidden to the players in the SE, you're getting savage implied odds if you hit.

I dont know, you are likely to only see one card and you only have 4 outs to the nuts

True, I suppose the BB is likely to push on the turn and I suppose AQ is also a possibility with these lads well capable of calling with an overcard and an inside str8 draw...

I think you played this hand great. 70% of players will fold in this spot with the KJ. considering the likely hood that the player would call might have changed my mind on this one however and i may have folded it.

I think you played it great too. I cant believe a player who was only at your table 10 mins, and whom u admitted was a donk, didnt realise u were a tight player and fold. WIth the amount of sober good players in the SE this would def be a profitable move in the long run, and your jus unfortunate that you ran into one of the few players in the place that didnt notice all your tite play and actually decided to donk off his massive stack with top pair decent kicker (to an unraised pot pre flop)
