Battlestar Galactica writer and executive producer David Eick will be the writer on a new Fox sci-fi show being produced by CBS Paramount Network Television.

Variety reports that Eick will work alongside executive producer and director Jonathan Mostow and co-writer John McNamara on Them, an hour-long show about a group of alien terrorists who have trouble completing their missions when they begin experiencing human life after assuming human form.

Looks good but I hope the writers of BSG dont get stetched too much with so many projects .

It does sound interesting but i wouldn't worry BSG will always be a top priority

Bigger priority - how so? A successful scifi show on a big television network may offer much bigger rewards, exposure, future opportunites, etc.. then BSG might do.

Umm so it's a show where aliens learn what it is to be human and how much better it is to be human, etc? Because that's what it sounds like and that's a horrificaly tired and worn concept that Trek beat to death with each successive show making an alien be assimilated into human culture (Spock, Data, Odo, Seven of Nine..).
I pray that it's not as transparent as it might sound either - for "alien terrorist" read "Muslim terrorist" who must adopt human (i.e. American) values...

    Its early days yet ixoy
Hopefully it will not be done that way

Ixoy - The worst idea I ever heard for a TV show was to remake that crappy old BattleStar Galactica from 1978  and look how that turned out. :D
So what I'm saying is despite all the many things that could go wrong, given creativity etc on the part of the writers it could well turn out great (or maybe just not terrible ;) )

It does sound a bit dodgy. Maybe it'll be a serious version of thrid rock from the sun or something...
