Hi. I wonder if anyone has travelled to Tel Aviv from Ireland? Whats the best deal I could possibly achieve on that route?

I know I can probably look this up fairly easy but whilst I'm at it, I assume I probably need a visa for Israel. Can this be done 1. by mail 2. at the embassy in Dublin or 3. upon arrival?
    What does it cost approx.?

Use the sticky thread of booking sites to get some quotes. Also check out your local travel agency - sometimes they can surprise you.

A quick google of "israel visa ireland" tells you more about that subject. In fairness, do a little independent research..it's not as painful as you might think. Also worth researching having an Israeli visa stamp in your passport and it's effects on entering other Middle East countries, should you ever wish to visit them.

I do plenty of it Buffy. I asked the question seeing as I had the other query.

Will be trying the booking sites but have found that sometimes there are smaller airlines that are not covered by the booking sites that are cheap and cheerful eg. air transat to toronto.
Irish citizens do not require a visa to visit Israel for tourist purposes. If you plan to stay longer than three months, you should contact the Ministry of the Interior in Israel for an extension before your entry visa expires (the date is on the entry stamp in your passport).

Air France are cheaper than KLM to Tel Aviv but it is via Paris CDG between 400 and 500 return
