if u want to skip da macau casino bit below - i'm basically looking for info about irisheyespoker.

Came back to Cork 4 da weekend with mein frau, managed to squeeze in a visit 2 da Macau last nite and played only my 2nd casino cash game... when i play online I would say i'm probably tighter than most but a million miles from a rock. I was a bit stumped in this cash game, I was easily the tightest player, though given the hands I was getting that wouldn't have been hard, anyway it was much looser to what I am used to in my games online... people were basically calling with any ace, any suited rubbish and lots of other crap... unfortunately I caught only 2 hands all nite, kk and tt - i totally over reacted with my re-raise with kk and got original raiser plus caller to fold which i didn't really want and so just won a smallish pot, and my TT lost a reasonable though not disastrous pot to AJ.

Anyway it's an eye-opener seeing what hands 'Real' people consider worth playing! and believe me I would have loosened up but i couldn't justify calling with the hands i was getting. 93o, 84o et al just don't look good no matter what way u look at em

Anyway i noticed that the macau offer betfair terminals.. decided to give that a miss with the recent probs they've been having.

I also noticed irisheyespoker was offered at the victoria(why the fcuk do we still name things after english monarchs! - grrrr) casino and also at his internet cafe I'm in now - just wondering if the site is any good?
If s.1 could pm me about it and any rb deals that's b good.

if you consider the # of hands you get to see per hour Vs Online and you're only poppin in for a couple of hours, you gotta dramatically drop your range if you want to play afew hands. If you are totally card dead - there ain't alot you can do!

Anybody have a rough idea of the difference in H's PH in a 1/2 9 seat game ??

    Pure guess, but Live 15 , online 40 ????

Yeah I think when people come to casinos they dont want 2 b folding hand after hand like i was doing - they come 4 da buzz of playing and as u say u dont get 2 c so many hands, still i was getting dealt complete rubbish hands that i couldn't remotely justify playing so as u say there wasn't a lot i could do.

I posted a couple weeks ago about the num of hands i played according to pokertracker, and for no limit holdem i played something like 100 hands per table every 75 minutes - this was mostly shorthanded games so for a 9 man game it's probably more like 100 hands every 90 minutes. So that would make it about 66 hands every hour.

However some sites like the tribeca network(paddypower, gjp etc) the games are slower though I think you would still see more than 40 hands per hour. I'm not a regular live game player but I woulda thought it's more than 15 per hour. I read somewhere b4 that it's about 30 hands per hour - this sounds about right 2 me from the few times i have played live - though i s'pose home games would b slower again.

online on a 9 seat table i'd be looking to play maybe 1 in 4 or 5 hands. that usually only ends up as around 30 per hr. However you have to play tight if you want to succeed against the morons on .25/.50 tables! Then in live play you have to be a lot more aggressive both with the quality of starting hands and when you're playing them.
