I can say, quite sincerly, you would not catch me within 100 miles of the venue on the night of this concert. Im sorry, I recognize that people like this band and apprichate their talents, but to me that just simply isnt music.

    Cest la vie

Will you ever fo. if you don't like the music fair enough. Stop parading the fact.

You're going to leave Dublin just because they're playing? Wow, that's commitment, I suppose

    March looks tasty!

Any word on who's supporting CC on this tour?

    Will you ever fo.

I taught someone who personally attacks a boarder and uses obscene language towards them was enough to get someone banned?
    Stop parading the fact.

Isnt Boards.ie here for the purposes of free speech?

Parading? I wouldnt call 1 thread and a post (in which, if you read it correct, I was posing a question) a parade. I never questioned any of the other bands on the OP's post, just one, and I didnt make any comments towards the indiviudals in the band or their music and I didnt post a rant either. I just said I didnt like it, I was being honest and upfront. Ill prob even attend Rotting Christ tbh.

I just dont like a band which has a song like 'Ripped Entrails of a Virgins ****' in their catalogue and thinks its quite acceptable to play that kind of music.

If the only response you can give is to tell me to f**k off, then maybe I'm right after all

to motley crue about your comment about 'virgin ****' or whatever http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9856_xv8gc and you were ranting 'you wont catch me within 100 miles of the venue on that night' seems like its a little excessive to be a simple statement of your opinion, also just so im not 'another cannibal corpse fan trying to defend his band' i dont like the band but they should be allowed say whatever they like and if they make music that people enjoy and that makes them happy more power to them

People should be allowed to listen to what music they want, of course, I just objected to the fact that he told me I was 'parading' on about my distaste for (apparently, from what I gather as he phrased the comment) Cannibal Corpse. I was also objecting to his use of language towards me, which was also unwanted and I find unacceptable.

It had nothing to do with freedom of expression, banning records, lyrical taste and saying what they want. If youll remember it was him who attacked me for mentioning a displeasure with Death Metal and he who came back and told me to **** off. I then mentioned that I taught boards.ie was a free speech forum, where I was as much entitled to my opinion as he is to his, but you attacking me doesnt help one bit because youre essentially trying to supress my free speech and right to defend myself from my inital attack.

I fully support your right to challenge me and your right to inform me of the fact that he has his rights to speak freely about the music which he likes, however I respectfully say that that had nothing really to do with why I challenged his response to me in the firstplace. It had to do with me being personally offended by his remarks, and telling lies.

Why bother posting in a gig thread just to tell us that you dislike a band? Nobody cares.

Back on topic, H and DME are fairly throwing up quality events this last while! March can't come soon enough

Cannibal Corpse & Malevolent Creation?! DEADLY
I just dont like a band which has a song like 'Ripped Entrails of a Virgins ****' in their catalogue and thinks its quite acceptable to play that kind of music.
so boards.ie, as you've stated, is a place for free speech, but the real world/music world, ISNT? they're not serious at all about the lyrics and subject matter of their songs; its all tongue-in-cheek.

they've also matured a lot over the last couple of albums, and are focusing more on technicality and songwriting than on the gore side of their material. The Wretched Spawn & Kill have placed them among the most talented bands around today.

March is indeed looking good. Malevolent Creation are one I want to see. I'd be well up for the Corspe and maybe The Haunted just for the craic.

Motley Crue, I don't post into topics related to stuff you like saying how completely homesexual I think "the Crue" are (and I really do) and how I think that clearly all their fans permanently have the taste of a plastic cock in their mouths, but you see fit to come on to a thread announcing death metal gigs (amongst others), which you've previously been asking questions about, so obviously don't "get" and say "I don't like this band" - why? STFUKTHXN00B. There are other ways to postcount++
