Does anybody else still watch Takeshi's Castle? They have it on everyday on Challenge at about 6, best show ever. Laughed so hard yesterday at the Parent and child one, where the mother was frantically running round the honeycomb maze, being directed by her kid, only for him to watch her in silence getting pummeled by all three guards and thrown out into the water.

Probably my favourite moment in the whole series ( do they have many series?), where there was a girl on the bridge holding the golden ball, with the guards cannoning black footballs at her. Somehow every football hit that area, while she was squealing in horror trying to keep her balance. The guards had to stop because they were laughing so hard, ah good times.

So just wondering if anybody else watched/watches this or any other crazy japanese gameshows?:)

btw would have used one of the other threads, but both were over 3 years old each.

Love Takeshis Castle on Challenge. I have been trying to track down a DVD but there was never any made. Challenge bought the episodes and rights from some channel in Toyko. There are over 100 episodes made. Big question, have you ever seen anyone win? I won't spoil it if you haven't. The best ones are the specials, like the beach, snow or the kids one they had a while ago. If you think golden balls is funny, just wait until you see Single Roller or the Karaoke *cringe*, lookout for it! They have a version in the US and renamed it MXC (most extreme challenge) but it is NOTHING compared to Craig Charles, its really, really bad. I don't know how they take all that punishment.
