Blanchardstown - Dublin City

I was debating on whether or not to put this here or in Region... but here shall suffice. Anywho, on Saturday I need to get into town to get a 7am bus to Cork. Normally I would have a lift into town when I make this trip, but I have no access to a car this time.
The Dublin Bus site is down, so I can't check time tables, here is the best place to ask I guess. Is there a bus early enough, from around Blanchardstown that I can take to get into town on time. I've tried taking the 39 on a weekday, but the bus got caught in traffic along the Quays and I didn't make it. Any bus that goes from the Blanch Centre, or 10 minutes away from it will do. I just don't want to have to resort to a Taxi at that hour of the morning.

The 70 and the 38 may be options.
The 30 is not as bad at the weekends as there is no commuter traffic on/off the m50 to slow it from getting into town.

I had to be in town for my college course last Saturday and it starts at 9am.I checked the bus and train timetables for that time and they weren't great. There isn't a train that will get you in for 7am and I don't think that there was a bus, however as you said the site is down and I can't check to be sure. The Urbus may go have you checked that? Otherwise I'd say its a taxi for you:)

OP - I think a bus is a non runner. According to my old timetables, the first 38 on a Saturday is at 6.50am and the first 39 is at 6.30am. These may have altered since.

URBUS doesn't go into Dublin. The first one doesn't leave Blanchardstown on a Saturday until 7.20 anyway.

    They haven't.

There is a 37 at 6.30 but I would say that probably would take more than 30mns to get in.

Taxi is the only option, or get the 8.00 bus instead, or the 9.00 train.

Thanks for the quick replies :) Looks like it's a taxi for me. Though I'll check the DublinBus site when it comes back up. I'm getting the Air Coach, so I want to be there for 7.

    Thanks again guys.

Ok, I've never used it if I'm honest. Where does it go so? I live in Clonsilla btw

Dublinbus.ie is up again. Doesn't look like there's any way for me to get in on time. Taxi it is.

    Thanks again everyone :)

Looking at the route, you'd have to bus(39)/walk to Blanch Centre to catch the Urbus.

Thanks for that. You're right from my house I'd have to get the 39 to the Centre to get the bus from there. I could walk it, )sometimes around Christmas and due to the traffic madness I do) and that would take me 20 minutes walking very fast with no suitcases. Its a pity really cause it would be handy for getting the airport and means I wouldn't be asking my parents (live in Ratoath) to give me a lift.
