    Hi guys,
Me and a mate are thinkin on doing a song or two for a competition in work. It would be two acoustic guitars, or one acoustic and one electric. Good level of performance of both of us.

Was thinking on something metal played acoustic and just something instrumental metal (played acoustic also)

Any ideas anyone please? All ideas welcomed - we were thinking on Opeth or something along those lines perhaps....

    Thanks in advance :)

If you're thinking Opeth, why not go for it? Some of their songs can be easy enough to play, just just pick a favourite and go for it.

Maybe you could try some Metallica aswell, Welcome Home (Sanitarium) sounds excellent on acoustic, and for instrumental, Orion is amazing.

For an accoustic, try Firts it Giveth by QOTSA. Its on after the credits on their dvd, and its really different, can be done very well.

That'd be if they had a 7 String acoustic. ;)

Depending on how good you are maybe something from Pride and Glory by Zakk Wylde. Something like Machinegun Man or perhaps Dead As Yesterday would go down nicely.
