    Hi Folks,
I'm looking to make an image of a USB key drive.
Does anybody know of any software which will enable me to do this?
MagicISO and the likes are for DC and DVD only.

    Cheers.
    S.

I found a repair utility for USB keys, it backed it up first, can't remember the name though.

If you plan restoring the image to anotehr drive, im out of ideas. Maybe Norton Ghost or Acronis Disk Image would work? Never tried it TBH.

If its for a backup, data recovery tools like GetDataBack and R-Studio make images files that you can extract data from. However you cannot restore the image.

can't remember the name :( and there are so many

If the drive is NOT bootable and using FAT32 then you could simply copy the files since it doesn't matter where they are on it. Trickier if a bootable drive, I keep loosing the link to the HP format utility to make them bootable, but after that just copy the files.

If not using FAT32, if NTFS you can still copy files and I doubt you want that bootable, for other OS then you can probably use it's built in utils.
