I am planning on hooking my PC up to a big LCD screen used as a tv and monitor in my room. What is the best option for use in a bed, using just the mattress as a mouse mat. It would have to be wireless, and not infrared but radio controlled. Would I be better with a track ball device. I also want it to have loads of shortcut buttons so I have little or no need for a keyboard.

Which would you recommend? I want one with lots of buttons. I heard they take some getting used to, but then you never look back. Most are expensive too.

A wireless optical mouse should be fine. Logitek are very good.

I cant think of the name of the manufacturer of the one I have, it does have a few programmable buttons on it (for presentation i guess) that I haven't yet configured so I can't comment on the functionality. As regards pricing yes they can be expensive...I got mine courtesy of a previous employer though ;-)
