    Hi All,

Myself and 4 friends (all female of a certain age  ) are heading to Budapest for a short weekend, out on friday and home on Sunday. Am wondering if anyone can tell us of any pitfalls or must see's whilse there. I was told by someone that there are many scams over there but am keeping an open mind on that one. I dont want weekend to be spoilt by always looking out for potential scams :(

Definitely go to the Gellert Baths in Buda for an hour or two and the fishermans bastion on the hill and try to have Hungarian Bean Soup - delish. Margaret island is nice aswell.

Statue Park is good http://www.szoborpark.hu/index.php?Lang=en you can get there on a bus from the tourist office in the city.

Definitely second the statue park,it's a really interesting place but takes half a day to do.Didn't come across any scams while I was there actually found it a really safe place. Its a very beautiful city with lots of great pubs and restaurants and the people are very friendly.Have a great time.
