so what changes have you made apart from making it a FO and not a DC....

anyway i havent played in this event since i went out there and to find that the tournie was held in the club diva, this was a disaster as you couldn't even see your cards and the electricity blew a couple of times...

are you's still getting the numbers..??

    8. Cost of entry: €100
    9. Cost of registration: €20

    Is that 80+20 or 100+20 ???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,912 ✭✭✭Washout

also you say that the payout will be 100%

and then that part of the prize pool will be used towards the IPC sat.

how much of the prizepool is going towards that? 1 or 2 tickets or more than that?

    Hello bottom feeder,

The changes are that it has become a FreezeOut and the BuyIn has changed from €80 + €20 (25% Reg) to €100 + €20 (20% Reg)

In regards to the farcical night in Club Diva. Yes it was a disaster. Lights blew, the dry ice machine had a mind of its own, Hotel staff promised the light could be turned up before hand which they couldn't.

It was a terrible night but I must stress it was a once off. Alternative arrangements have been made since to accomondate ourselves and the Red Cow should they double book.

It's a pitty that this one terrible night has put you off attending since. PokerEvents over the past number of weeks have experienced a varied attendance raging from 90+ to 41 the prize pool had been guaranteed at €5000 so there was no fluctuation on Payout.

Players were getting great value for money.

I hope you can clear the night from your mind and will make the effort to participate with us next Monday or any Monday

    Regards,

    Stephen

I have a ticket for entry to this, does the ticket cover the new €120 entry ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 872 ✭✭✭gerry87

I have a ticket too, do we have to become members to play?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 386 ✭✭PokerEvents-Ste

    Hello charlesanto & gerry87,

I will answer both your questions with this post.

All tickets issued by PokerEvents have a value of €100 for the weekly events. Therefore unfortunatly you will have to cover the registration fee yourself on the night.

It is a PokerEvents policy that to play in any of our events, players must become a member. To become a mamber is free and easy. All you need to do is fill in a registration form on the night (Basic info like name, date of birth etc).

I'll look forward to seeing you on the Monday,

Registration opens at 19.00, Cards 20.00 Early Birds (500) before 19.50

    Regards,

    Stephen

    Hello rb_ie,

That night was one of those you can only look back and laugh at!! Best off forgotten.

It's the first time we are running the €24 + €1 Satellite but we have been filling two single table satellites over the past few weeks. But with 2 seats up for grabs, I'm hoping there will be the same interest, if not more.

All players registered for the Satellite will be entitled to the early bird chip.

    Hope this answers your query,

    See you tomorrow

    Regards

    Stephen

You have dealers, not Croupiers! And most wouldnt work for you if they had worked elsewhere first.

iv dealt for them for a while now, and while this may have been the case in the past, it is not now. there has been a change in management since around august, and stephen to be fair to him is doing his upmost to accomodate and support the dealers.

Finished a very dissapointed 11th in this. Didnt get many hands in the early stages of this so had to make a couple of moves to get chips. Got crippled when i decided to reraise on a 10107 flop with AQ but i laid down to an allin. He had A10.

Got back up to average stack when i got it allin on a flop of 876 while holding 97 against 86. I hit the a 10 for a straight. Then managed to accumulate more chips when my KK stood up against 77. Took 35k to the last 2 tables where the average was about 18k and blinds 500/1000

Then...got AA in EP. Raised to 4500...button goes allin for 2k and CL in the BB calls. Flop is Kh9h6x. BB checks, i bet 8k, BB calls. Turn is 4h. BB pushes for 33k. I fold, he shows AhJh and takes the shortstack out.

Moved tables with 14 left. Blinds now 1500/3000. I have 28k. I'm in BB with KK. CL limps UTG and goodluck2me pushes from the button for 18.5K. I call, UTG folds 99 and GL2M shows A4..4 on the turn and i'm down to 10K.

I push twice to steal blinds then find KK on the BB again and its folded into me (just what i needed!). I then get it all in with K9 against 77..flop comes Q98....10......6 for a straight and i'm gone.

Didnt get a lot of help from the deck in this game and lsot a lot of hands when i was big favourite. All in all, the tournament ran pretty well..blinds did get pretty big compared to some of the stacks and theres was a lot of pushing late on but i'll be back to give it another go..

BTW the Chief was the first to fall, in the very first hand... Hes at my table in seat 7..blinds 25/50...he raises to 300..BB reraises to 1000 and Chief calls...

    Flop comes A 9 7
BB bets 3K.. Chief thinks for 2 minutes and pushes and BB calls immediately

BB turns over AK and Chief has A10 and with no help from the board, he's gone within 3 minutes.

hard luck tony, i needed to soak up chips as you know yourself. it was a suckout allright, the K9 hand was unreal though sick river card. unfortunatly i didnt put your cips to good use when i bubbled... player button riases and i push for 31K with AT, and he calls with Aj...SB had AT too. John weafer went on to split first for 1600€ afaik. was pretty annoyed at myself for calling there bit thought his range was wide enough. should have just elt it go and moved on. hard luck again..ill be back too.

unlucky tony, good fold with the AA's - and what a river [6] to give your man a straight - very unlucky...
so how did you find the new structure... deep stack in all ????
i would have liked to played myself but other commitments and its looking like that most mondays....:( anyway did Fergie have any luck.....
ohhhh yeah by the way CHIEF never surprise's me..... mad wh*re....lol

Unlucky with the bubble finish. Pity u couldnt go a little deeper. There was a lot of raising from the button and CO throughout the last 2 tables because of the high blinds, so when u find A10 its hard to put the button raiser on a real hand and it was just a bit of bad that u ran into a dominating hand. I'm just surprised that u didnt spike a 10 to to dog him!!

It was actually a good standard final 2 tables with not too many easy chips around, and you played a good game to make it to the FT. Keep up the good work :D

Congrats to Johnny, he always hangs on in these and gets down to the business end. Nice win

I had to fold the AA. I actually said to him that he probably has J10 sooooted and i cant call because i know u hit your flush. I thought the 8k bet on the flop, would have taken him off it, but he had a lot of chips so he wasnt lettin go.

Even though i was behind going in with K9, i played it a lot stronger preflop and was quite surprised that ur man only had 77. He was calling for a J on the river which would have suited me :D but hit the 6 so it was a bit sick!

Structure was ok, but it still got a bit crapshooty towards the end. There was also a dispute among a few players that only received 6000 chips, which included their 500 early bird and others received 6500 so that needs to be addressed.

Fergus crashed out before the break. He made a bet, then a re-raise with a bluff and had to throw it away which wounded him, then after gettin his stack back up, he raised UTG witk KK. Flop comes 9 rag rag. He bets out 70% of his stack and player moves all in. Fergus called and he ran into 99 so that was that

yeah the thing was that john folded AT in the BB aswell! so i was drawing pretty thin! i was happy enough with my play up until that stage one thin i woul dsay was that i was first to act with the A4 hand, it was my first steal i showed 4 AK before that so i knew onyl a monster would call. the guy with 99 was in the BB afair. and yes it was a very high standard final 2 tables, as that 69 hand showed he knew i was at it. it wasnt easy to pick up chips! hard luck, ill play again next week so feel free to dog back.
i thought the structure wasnt too bad, and didnt feel half as much under pressure when short stacked as i did in the fitz 150 game. it was really just when i few people left quickly with 3 left that ave stack jumped. it would be nice to see the clock increased a bit nearer the end just to level it out a bit, other than that its grand.
