Try CT3 Europe, based in Dublin - they are not a VOIP provider but sell IP PBX solutions. You could have a hybrid solution with a mix of incoming / outgoing PSTN and VOIP channels and a range of handsets - analog / digital / IP. There website is www.ct3europe.com.

I am associated with CT3 as they distribute the Vertical products, whom I work for.

What about a company with over 100 people using phones about 70 or so simultaneous calls? Would you provide the line connection, gateways etc the company is in Wexford where as far as I can see the highest bandwidth would be 5Mbps???

Internal voip and external are different - yuo can mix phone lines and broadband for the external...

How do you mean? Are you saying it would be possible for 70 or so simultaneous calls on a 5mbps line, I was adviced by blueface that Id need a 10mbps line at least which you cant get here!

No, I'm saying you can mix traditional phone lines and broadband/voip for the external connectivity.

For example, you can get a 4 port PRI card for your server, do VOIP internally (ie: use all VOIP phones in the business, back to a VOIP PBX like Asterisk).

Then, hook the server up to 5Mbps broadband AND an eircom PRI (30 channels) and you can take inbound calls from eircom in the normal way and use the VOIP for outbound. You also get the benefit of using the normal phone circuit if the broadband falls over, and the 4 port card for the server means up to 120 'regular' voice channels, ignoring the VOIP part.

If you have 70 concurent calls, I would recommend getting 3x standard PRI circuits anyway, to give you 90 or so channels, and treat the VOIP as a bonus - TBH, VOIP is not really suitable yet for large enterprise.

Why exactly is VOIP is not really suitable yet for large enterprises?

The company in question has an 9 year old alcatel 4200 pbx system which is not IP enabled and I have to make a recommendation on installing voip systems like to do as you mentioned, install a new pbx system that is just IP enabled for future developments, whether to leave things as they are. Which would be the best option cost, hassle free, feasibility wise etc

Where would I get information on how to set up what you mentioned prices, providers total solutions etc... It seems very hard to get a straight answer off some providers/sources.

What your saying is for example to have an asterisk pbx IP enabled system with 3x standard PRI circuits/PRI cards for the server anyway even if they didnt get voip in? as in this setup would be ready for voip if they did decide to get it in?

    Thanks
