I dont actually know where the best board for this thread is, but since im trying to buy 360 games I figured its close enough.

Im looking to pick up a copy of Splinter Cell, and order Gears of War in about a week, but they keep declining my credit card saying that the billing address doesnt match with whatever the bank has.

Ive tried multiple combinations of my address for about a week now and nothing is working. No other site is refusing my card and im more than a little annoyed.

Anyone else ever have this kind of problem with Play?

Never had issues like that, perhaps its time to give Play a call (or email) since its seems to be isolated to their site.

Splinter Cell is region free, buy it on play asia for €36.

I had it before because my credit card company were suspicious of the amount of orders I was making off play.com.
Ended up having to talk to the bank for about 10 mins to get it resolved.

You can get splinter cell here for half the price of play.com

It happens at times and its not plays fault as they are automated.

What happens is that everytime you resubmit your CC and it fails, a flag is sent to your bank & CC company. They then think hold on this card is getting regjected multiple times, it could be fraud and so they put a hold on the account.

Unfortunetly a CC company rarely ring you and tell you the proble, you will have to call them and clear it up. Also make sure you find out exactly how your CC company wants your address to be played.

I've had the problem with dabs.com rather than play...

I currently have this problem with steam and neither valve or my bank know why.

I thought it was the address not being right but its not the problem.
Its the only place I have a problem with and is the reason i havent gotten episode one yet!

had this problem with play when i 1st bought something off that site, i'm sure you covered the obvious like checkign the details where in fact correct,

was this the mail you received ?

"Thank you for your recent order with Play.com.

The card details you have specified appear to be incorrect. Please can you check your account and re-enter the following details:

    Card number
    Expiry date
    Valid from date (if applicable)
    Issue number (if applicable)

We will then attempt to re-process your original order. You do not need to resubmit your order.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused to you in this matter and thank you for your patience and valued custom.

    Kind Regards

    Play"

think my issue was to do with post code just, putting in NA did the trick.
This is probably not your issue but im just throwing it out there just in case.

happened to me as well , I was buying more than usual so they thought it was a wee bit suspicious. I had to contact then as a security procedure (Good IMO!) they did sort it very quickly

    Sucess!!!

It was the postcode. They've agreed to take my money but ive cancelled my order anyway. The savings on play-asia are just too good to turn down.

Although being able to buy from play will be handy for non-region free nintendo games and the odd DVD

Overall its been a good day
