This Saturday night the 11th of November Acii Disco will play host to the bionic boy - Milton Jackson. Still only in his twenties he has already made quite an impression on the house scene. He released his first EP at the tender age of 19 which was featured on the Roger Sanchez mixmag compilation that year. From there Milton went from strength to strength and carved out a reputation for himself as a very talented and prolific house producer with a twist.

He soon signed to Black Vinyl and was offered an album deal with Glasgow Underground. His first long player ‘The Bionic Boy’ saw celebrity dance fans in the form of Laurent Garnier, Larry Heard, Tom Middleton and Ashley Beadle. Jockey Slut magazine called him “potentially the most exciting thing to happen to UK house music”. In 2001 he founded his own label Bear Trax , he was the first person to release a Mylo record when the two teamed up together to form The Pretty Boys. The label also seen the release of his own track Incidental which was Yousefs no 1 Miami track 2002.

In 03 Milton took a back seat from house music to concentrate on other projects. After his brief hiatus, he returns to House music with a vengeance – 2006 sees him release 12 EPs on a multitude of labels including Silver Network in France, Icon, Tronicsole, Urbantorque, three EPs for Freerange, Slip n Slide and Tsuba Records. These tracks have been played and charted by heavyweight DJs such as Carl Cox and John Digweed. Carl Cox is a big fan of Milton’s 1998 EP on Tronicsole, having included two tracks from it on various compilations.

Milton is also branching out into a more tech, minimal sound after collaborating with fellow Glaswegian ‘Droido’. They have recorded two EPs for Jef K’s Crack & Speed label and Stevie Sole’s Tronicsole imprint.

DJ wise Milton has played all over the world including The Rex Club in Paris , Goa Festival in Madrid and the legendary Pressure night at Glasgow’s Arches. He has also toured Russia and most of Europe and played every club worth its salt in the UK including the Sub Club, 93 Feet East, Snafu, Sumo, Ultragroove, Turnmills and many others.

It will be his Irish debut and support on the night will come from resident Al Keegan. Be great to see u there!
