Strange Drive Problem

    I'm having a problem with my xbox 360 dvd drive. It will read original xbox games as well as dvd's and cd's but it's stopped reading xbox 360 games.

    All my 360 games, FN3, PE6 & Oblivion wont load up, and just read indefinately, sometimes telling me that the disk is dirty.

    I've tried unplugging everything and starting again but no joy. Also 360 support is having a 'computer problem' this evening and so is no help!

    Anyone any ideas?

    Gotten weirder, put in Black, works fine, took it out, put in FN3 (360) works (!!!!!) took it out, put in Oblivion, doesnt work, put in FN£ again, doesnt work.

    seems almost random

    Could be your drive. Best bet is to ring MS

    My drive started to act up a while back. Started off occassionally not reading some 360 games or else crashing while the title screen was loading, but Pro Evo 5 seemed to work fine. Then one day it just wouldnt read anything. Never tried it with normal DVDs, and never had any red lights. Sent mine off to Microsoft and getting it back this Thursday, hopefully all will be fixed
