Hey ppls, Im very very much a newbie to this ubuntu thing, i got so sick of windows and its crap, i was going to dual boot but i felt i needed a clean break from windows so i set up the whole system on ubuntu 6.06 So anyway, to the point, Im trying to use GAIM to connect to yahoo messenger but i keep getting this error…

Hey ppls,

So anyway, to the point, Im trying to use GAIM to connect to yahoo messenger but i keep getting this error "Unknown Error number 29: Logging into Yahoo! may fix this."

Has anybody any idea what this means and how i can rectify the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

You might need to authenticate your account, Yahoo randomly does that to people. Try sigining in to the Messenger page and see if you get an authentication request.
